I worked for NORR architecture firm for 5 years, in Sacramento, California. I had the pleasure of being a part of the CVS remodel team as well as a project coordinator for the office. After conducting field surveys of over 20 stores a year, the information would then be translated into construction documents. Each store was unique in the fact that every jurisdiction had different code requirements, and the project types varied. Most of the projects were located in California which leaned on the heavier side of accessibility requirements. Below is an example of one of the many Minute Clinic projects I had completed.
A portion of the wall between receiving and retail had to be removed in order to fit the waiting area. The Minute Clinic design is a prototype of CVS.
